Urad Dall

Description

White Urad Dal is a whole or split urad with its skin removed. These lentils are creamy white in color and have a milder flavor than whole Black Urad Beans or Split Dal with skin. It is very nutritious and rich in protein.

White Urad dal is very easy and quick to cook and the addition of different spices and flavours makes this dal very delicious.

Urad dal is very popular in Punjabi Cuisine. In south India, Urad dal or Urad Gota is ground into flour or paste and it is extensively used in culinary preparations like dosa, idli, vada, and papad. White Urad Dall Soup goes well with tandoori roti, Missi roti (Black Gram flour roti) and Naan.
