Portland Cement is the widest used cement in the construction industry for common applications. There are many variations of portland cement manufactured for special applications but the ones everybody associates with the word "Cement" are Types I and II. Description

White Cement is equivalent to a Type I cement with one major difference: Its most important component is Kaolin rather that Clay. Also of primary importance is the absence of iron oxides and other mineral pigments that would otherwise color the product. This accounts for its whiteness as compared to regular portland cement. It is used mostly as the basis for the manufacture of pastes, stuccos, grouts and mastics, tile cement, etc. It is also a main component in the manufacture of tiles, terrazzos, and artificial rock and in the manufacture of monuments, tombstones, etc
